Channeling Inspiration
From the Quantum Field to the Canvas
Gabrielle Grawey’s passion for art began in childhood. The Montreal-born, self-taught artist
Intuitively channels ideas from the quantum field and puts them on canvas. “Creating abstract art makes me feel alive and connected to the quantum field of
possibilities,” Gabrielle says.
She’s had various careers: aesthetician, make-up artist, fashion consultant, decorative artist, life coach and healer, muralist, and interior designer.
Her wide-ranging métiers and extensive global travels have exposed her to diverse cultures and visual experiences from which she draws.
In 1996, she moved to St. Kitts and relocated to Aruba after Hurricane George to work on the expansion and development of Tierra Del Sol Resort & Golf, a planned community.
She oversaw the design, décor and furnishings that resulted in the successful and fast sale of the project.
Gaby returned to Montreal in 2002 and started an interior design and home staging business. In 2019, her work was featured in Montreal Lawyer magazine in a story titled “Redefining Your Happy Place.”
The restrictions of 2020 and 2021 put the brakes on her business. But this artist used the slowdown to immerse herself in painting, exploring various mediums.
Her art has been described as “A whimsical dash of curiosity and wonder, streaming the unconscious to the conscious mind, bringing forward the inner world of imagination to the outer world of flow.” It’s multi-layered and textured whims with a touch of surrealism.
